Tour Description
Presented By:
Janet Van Liere
Program Description:
Take a virtual stroll through one of the world's most walkable and liveable cities, qualities rooted in the Danish concept of "hygge" and a deep commitment to human-centered design. As we wander among the city's streets, parks and canals, we'll showcase some stunning architecture, see hygge reflected in life's simple pleasures, and meet a few prominent historical figures. We'll also highlight some of Copenhagen's past and current connections with Boston.
About the Flansburgh Travel Fellowship:
In 2008, longtime BBF supporters Bill and Lia Poorvu established the Flansburgh Travel Fellowship to honor Boston By Foot founder, Polly Flansburgh and her husband Earl Flansburgh. The Poorvu Family Foundation has generously funded this Fellowship to give opportunities to Boston By Foot volunteers to travel, explore and to gain skills and insights that will enhance their experience as a BBF volunteer.
