Program Description:

The Nawn Factory has long been a gateway landmark in Roxbury, marking the distinct change in character to visitors to the neighborhood. The site has a long and storied history: from its prehistoric role of sitting on the only natural land connection to the Shawmut Peninsula; historical uses as Boston grew from a small colonial outpost to a world class city, and recent abandonment and neglect. The walls can talk, and they tell a story of changes as the neighborhood's fates have shifted with time. Now the building embarks on a new chapter, finding its place in a redeveloping and modern Roxbury. Learn more about the plans for the transformation of a keystone of Roxbury in this virtual event.
