Join us for this three-part virtual series to learn about musicians and composers who were born, educated, and/or had their musical careers in the Boston area, from Rev. Richard Mather, author of the Bay Psalm Book, to Esperanza Spalding, a contemporary jazz bassist and singer not yet turned 40.

Hear about the Boston origins of three popular patriotic songs. Spend time with Lowell Mason, Isabella Stewart Gardner, Henry Lee Higginson, Serge Koussevitzky, Sophie Tucker, Arthur Fiedler, Aaron Copland, Ray Bolger, Johnny Hodges, Leroy Anderson, Alice Parker, John Williams, The Cars, Donna Summer, Yo-Yo Ma, the Dropkick Murphys, and others.

Whet your appetite for Boston Music History with a brief history of the careers of more than 100 Boston musicians.
