Membership Volunteer
Boston By Foot, Inc. is an educational nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring locals and visitors to discover and appreciate the diverse stories of Boston by exploring the cityscape together. Boston By Foot depends on the time and talents of its over 200 volunteers to support its mission-driven programming.
Membership Volunteers serve on the Membership Team to support organizational fundraising and membership development efforts under the direction of staff.
- Type:
This is a flexible remote volunteer position. Volunteers may be requested to come to the BBF office to pick up materials for specific tasks that they can then complete at home or other remote location of their choice.
- Commitment:
2-3 hours per month

Duties include assisting staff with:
- Corresponding with individuals to develop donor and member relationships
- Keeping accurate records of correspondence with donors and members
- Assist staff with ongoing membership projects
Qualifications and required skills
- Phone and email skills
- Record keeping skills
- Communication skills
- Ability to abide by policies and procedures
- Desire to support Boston By Foot and our mission
- An interest in Boston history
- Have a strong connection to Boston and the surrounding communities
- Familiarity with MS Word, MS Excel and Google Drive preferred
