Volunteer Experience Volunteer

Boston By Foot, Inc. is an educational nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring locals and visitors to discover and appreciate the diverse stories of Boston by exploring the cityscape together. Boston By Foot depends on the time and talents of its over 200 volunteers to support its mission-driven programming.

Boston By Foot’s Volunteer Experience Volunteers serve on the Volunteer Experience Committee to support volunteer lifelong learning and community building. Volunteer Experience volunteers serve collaboratively on a volunteer-directed committee with staff oversight.

Duties include:

• Collaborate with committee members to plan and coordinate social events and activities for Boston By Foot volunteers to further engage volunteers in BBF and inspire lifelong learning
• Assist staff in planning and execution of annual volunteer appreciation events

Qualifications and required skills

• Event planning skills
• Ability to access the internet and basic computer skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with other volunteers
• Ability to plan and execute events within a strict budget
• Desire to support Boston By Foot and our mission
• An interest in Boston history and community
