Flansburgh Gift Match Reaches Two-Thirds of Goal
Tuesday, October 1, 2019
In 2017, founder Polly Flansburgh committed $100,000 to Boston By Foot – the largest gift in the organization’s history. Last year our Board of Trustees, inspired by Polly’s action, challenged ourselves to match Polly’s gift to fortify BBF’s longevity.
One year later, these milestones toward matching Polly Flansburgh’s gift:
- Reached 65% of our goal to match Polly’s gift
- 100% Board participation in the challenge
- Launched a Legacy Circle program and secured five gifts from people who are including Boston By Foot in their estate plans
As we head into the fall season having reached two-thirds of our goal, we are excited to introduce this challenge to all of our volunteers, members and other friends of Boston By Foot. With the support of this dedicated group, we hope to meet our goal by the end of 2019.
We invite you to join us in rising to this important challenge! There are several ways to help us ensure BBF's longevity. You can make a gift online today, or contact our office to learn more about making a gift of securities, making a two-year pledge, or becoming part of our Legacy Circle.
