Programming Partnerships Expand for 2019 Season
Tuesday, June 4, 2019
The 2019 Boston By Foot tour season brings with it both new and returning programming partners.
Among new partners is The History Project, co-sponsor of our Boston's LGBTQ Past tour (June 6 and June 25). The History Project is the only organization focused exclusively on documenting and preserving the history of New England’s LGBTQ communities and sharing that history with LGBTQ individuals, organizations, allies, and the public.
Another new partner is the Boston Harbor Hotel, co-sponsor of our brand new The Story of Rowes Wharf tour (Third Monday of every month). Boston Harbor Hotel sought to partner with Boston By Foot as part of its public accommodation responsibilites. BBF developed a tour that covers the history of Rowes Wharf, from Colonial times through the development of the hotel in the mid-1980s.
Among returning programming partners are Old North Church & Historic Site, partner for our Adventures at Sea: Bostonians in the Age of Sail tour (every Thursday in June); Boston Women's Heritage Trail, partner for our Notable Women of Beacon Hill tour (2nd Saturday and last Wednesday of every month); the Massachusetts Historical Society, partner for our Adams Family in Boston tour (July 3); and the Boston Preservation Alliance, partner for our Ladder Blocks tour (October 27).
